Safe Advantages

Other membership advantages include Farm Bureau’s safety programs to protect you and your loved ones from harm.
 
The No. 1 cause of farm fatalities is tractor rollovers. To combat that, Virginia Farm Bureau Safety offers a $200 incentive to members who have a factory-built rollover protective structure and seat belt installed on any tractor bought without a ROPS. If you add a sun canopy at the same time, Farm Bureau will give you an additional $200 incentive.
 
To protect members’ equipment from fire, Farm Bureau Safety provides members with one 10-pound fire extinguisher to mount on eligible equipment. Farm safety inspections are also available at no cost.
 
In participating counties, older drivers can take advantage of an AARP Driver Safety Program for those over 55 years old. Participants who complete the $10 program receive a discount on their Farm Bureau auto insurance premiums.
 
Teen drivers can get a 5 percent auto insurance premium discount when they enroll in the Smart Start program, which encourages safe and responsible driving.
 
Discounts on child and booster car seats and rebates on all-terrain vehicle helmets are also part of the Membership Advantage.

If you like to travel or are planning a trip, you can save money with the Membership Advantage. Farm Bureau members receive rental car and hotel discounts, as well as reduced membership rates at the Children's Museum of Richmond.
 
The Choice Hotels International program offers a 20 percent discount for Farm Bureau members at more than 5,000 Clarion, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Econo Lodge, MainStay Suites, Quality, Rodeway Inn and Sleep Inn locations.
 
The Wyndham Hotels and Resorts discount for Farm Bureau members is 10 percent off “best available rates” at 6,000 AmeriHost Inn, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Ramada, Super 8 Motel, Travelodge, Village,  Wingate Inn and Wyndham Hotels locations.
 
Avis offers up to 25 percent off every rental when you make reservations using Virginia Farm Bureau’s Avis ID.
 
Budget Truck Rental offers members 15 percent off their next rental reservation for reliable, easy-to-drive trucks from more than 2,800 locations nationwide.
 
The Children’s Museum of Richmond offers a 25 percent discount off any annual membership when you purchase the membership at the museum or its Henrico County satellite location and show your Farm Bureau member card.

If you’re at least 18 and have been a member for 60 days you can save $500 on the purchase or lease of select Buick, Chevrolet and GMC vehicles at participating dealerships.
